HTC Marlin Will Come With Beefed Up Specs, As Shown In The Latest Benchmarking Test

The specifications of the upcoming HTC Nexus were leaked earlier, showing that we would have worthy successor for the Nexus 5X. HTC Marlin is the codename of the smartphone, and has been taken through a benchmarking run at none other than Geekbench. Check out the scores right here.

HTC Marlin Geekbench Scores Show A Snapdragon 820, At Least According To The Points Obtained

Taking a look at the scores (given in the image below), HTC Marlin is expected to sport a Snapdragon 820, and 4GB of RAM, which is a huge upgrade, especially if HTC Marlin is going to be the direct successor of the Nexus 5X. We feel that the design language is going to remain the same between HTC 10 and HTC Marlin, especially if the manufacturer has all the say in the design for the next Nexus. HTC is always used to employing a beautiful aluminum chassis to its flagship offerings, and we feel that things are going to be no different when Google and the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer are preparing to finally announce their Nexus offering.

We are not sure if 32GB of internal storage is the only storage model that is going to be offered by the company, but we’d be glad to see more models. Nexus 5X is a great smartphone as far as its pricing and specifications are taken into account but its 16GB internal storage was absolutely abysmal, especially when you’re the kind of user who wants to experience Google’s holy grain of stock Android and want ample storage with that package. We have listed the complete specifications list below and remember to treat these details with a grain of salt since they will most definitely change when the official announcement gets underway.

What impressions do you have of the upcoming HTC Marlin after taking a glance at its hardware specifications? Let us know your thoughts right away.
