Another strong indication that Intel is going to release the Arrow Lake Refresh desktop processors very soon.
HyperX OMEN 35L Gaming Desktop With Core Ultra 7 270K Plus Spotted: 24 Cores and Up To 5.4 GHz Boost Clock
While we await the official unveil and launch of Core Ultra 200 Refresh desktop CPUs, OEMs have started preparing their next-gen systems with these CPUs. As of now, several solid reports have confirmed the existence of the Core Ultra 200K Plus, aka Arrow Lake Refresh CPUs. We have seen some of them getting leaked in benchmarks, and it's expected that these will launch in Mid-March. So, we hardly have 9-10 days before Intel officially unveils the new series.
HP, which produces pre-built gaming PCs, has also prepared a desktop with one of those SKUs. As spotted by @momomo_us, HP has prepared its latest OMEN 35L Gaming Desktop (GT18-0007a), which features the upcoming Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus CPU. This CPU succeeds the Core Ultra 7 265K and offers more cores out of the box. The 270K Plus will have four additional Efficient cores, as we know from earlier reports, and according to the specs page on HP, it boasts 5.4 GHz of Turbo boost clock.
Now with a 24-core/24-thread configuration, the 270K Plus is ready to deliver superior multi-threaded performance, and one benchmark leak has recently shown that the new processor is nearly 10% faster. The Ultra 7 270K Plus will offer 36 MB of L3 cache and 13 NPU AI TOPs of power. The new OMEN gaming desktop will have the 270K Plus paired with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU, and the price for the 16 GB/1 TB configuration is $5,499. This is likely a placeholder and is subject to change.
According to one report, the reviews for the Intel Core Ultra Refresh CPUs will go live on March 23, nearly a week after the retail launch of the series. The Refresh series will reportedly bring three SKUs: Core Ultra 5 250K Plus, Core Ultra 5 250KF Plus, and Core Ultra 7 270K Plus. The fourth one, i.e., the Core Ultra 9 290K Plus, has been reportedly cancelled.
