One of the focuses of the recent RPG-shooter Remnant II is build crafting, with the game’s Archetypes (the game’s name for classes) being at the core of that experience. The new Remnant II: The Forgotten Kingdom DLC adds a additional Archetype, the Invoker, and like many of the game’s classes, it needs to be unlocked in a very specific way, but don’t worry, we’ve taken the mystery out of it.

In order to switch to a new Archetype or set up a dual-class character you’ll need to unlock them by acquiring a special item called an “Engram.” These Engrams are equippable items crafted by Wallace (the guy up on the crane in the Ward 13 hub) in exchange for 10 Lumenite Crystals, 1000 Scrap, and one special item, each of which is acquired in a different way. And there you go, the Invoker is yours! It’s a pretty powerful Archetype, well suited to co-op play, that can boost the potency and duration of spells.
