But, the best tactic is a built-in feature in iOS 13 and iPadOS, something which has been around since the iOS 8 days. Just select the photos and videos you don't want to show up in your main album, and they will be hidden unless you unhide them at some later point. It's a very, very useful thing to know about, especially if you like to keep your private life, private.
Hide Private Photos on iPhone and iPad
Step 1. Launch the Photos app on your iPhone or iPad.
Step 2. Locate the photo or video which you want to hide.
Step 3. Tap on Select at the top right hand corner and then start selecting the media which you want to hide.
Step 4. Now tap on the Share button on the bottom left hand corner.
Step 5. Scroll down and tap on Hide.
Step 6. Confirm that you want to hide the photos and videos you just selected.
Where Are My Hidden Photos on iPhone and iPad?
Step 1. Launch the Photos app.
Step 2. Tap on the Albums tab.
Step 3. Scroll all the way down to the Other Albums section and then tap on Hidden. You will find all your hidden private photos and videos here.
How to Unhide Private Photos and Videos
Step 1. Tap on Select on the top right hand corner in the Hidden album.
Step 2. Select the photos and videos you wish to unhide.
Step 3. Tap on the Share icon on the bottom left hand corner.
Step 4. Now tap on Unhide. Easy.
