Apple will stop signing iOS 15.6 and iPadOS 15.6 without dropping any sort of notice. And if you are looking to downgrade from iOS 15.6.1 or iPadOS 15.6.1, an update that was released just last week, then it's better you do it now before your chance slips away.
Before you do anything at all, it should be made clear at this point that this will erase everything off your iPhone and iPad. Therefore take the time to backup everything to a safe and secure location. You can use iCloud, iTunes, or Finder to create a backup. Just choose the route which ensures the safety of your data so you can restore it later onto your iPhone or iPad.

Tutorial
Step 1. Connect your iPhone or iPad to your PC or Mac using a Lightning or USB-C cable, whichever is applicable for your device.
Step 2. Once your device has been detected, launch iTunes or Finder.
Step 3. Your device will show up as a tiny iPhone-like icon on the left-hand side, click on it to reveal more details.
Step 4. You should see a 'Restore iPhone' button in the center. While holding down the left Shift key (Windows) or the left Option key (macOS), click on that button.
Step 5. Select the iOS 15.6 / iPadOS 15.6 IPSW file you saved to the desktop.
The contents of the IPSW files will be extracted and restored onto your device, and it may take a while. Once done, you can set your device up as new or restore an old backup that you created prior to this tutorial.
