A character in Crimson Desert stands on a cliff overlooking a detailed landscape with the text 'Best Stats to Level Up First' prominently displayed.

In Crimson Desert, Kliff’s physical growth is dictated by three core attributes: Health, Spirit, and Stamina. As you increase these stats by using Abyss Artifacts, which cannot be refunded without another rare type of Abyss Artifact, rather than traditional XP grinding, how you level up certain stats will determine how well you will do as you take your first steps in Pywell to restore the Greymanes.

All Upgradable Stats

All playable characters in Crimson Desert have three stats that can be upgraded via the Skill Tree using Abyss Artifacts.

Stats Leveling Up Priority Ranking

1. Stamina

Without a doubt, Stamina is the most important stat to prioritize early on for the following reasons.

2. Health

While Stamina is crucial to enhance early on for its traversal and combat applications, Health is a more straightforward stat.

3. Spirit

Spirit is the least vital stat to level up for the early game.

NOTE: It is important to note that any stat improvement made for Kliff is also applied to the other playable characters. As such, you do not need to worry about Damiane and Oonkga remaining behind.
