The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, a new HD-2D action RPG from Square Enix, has been announced today for Nintendo Switch 2.
The game, which was unveiled during today's Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase, will star the titular Elliot and his fairy companion Faie, who embark on a journey in the world of Philabieldia, a dangerous world whose only safe haven for humans is the Kingdom of Huther, protected by a safekeeping spell. Leaving the kingdom to investigate some mysterious ruins, Elliot and his companion will have to face all sorts of dangerous foes in a journey said to span centuries.
Besides providing the first information on the game's setting and main characters, the first The Adventures of Elliot: The Millenium Tales trailer also offers an overview of the experience, which seems like a new take on the formula of classic top-down action RPG like The Legend of Zelda or the first entries in Falcom's Ys series, with some Mana series influenced sprinkled on top with multiple weapon types and charged attacks. Thankfully, those into this type of game won't have to wait to get a first taste of the experience, as a demo is now available for download from the Nintendo Switch 2 eShop (with a Prologue demo now out on every target platform as well)
The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales launches on Nintendo Switch 2 sometime in 2026.
