A leaked promo of the Pixel Watch 3 confirms previous speculations about the features and sizes
While Google is set on heading in a different direction by going for an early launch window for its smartwatch category, it is also determined to bring many other improvements with the new Pixel watch. This watch has been creating quite the buzz, with reports giving many key details, and a new leaked promo video now confirms the previous speculations and gives us a more detailed visual glance at the wearable.
Android Headlines shared the promo video and confirmed the two watch sizes for the new wearable: 41mm and 45mm, respectively. Contrary to previous speculations, a Pixel Watch 3 XL brand name would not be chosen for the 45mm size. Even though the video is in Spanish, it is not difficult to identify its major aspects, which are focused primarily on the two sizes.
The video confirms that the design will not undergo major changes, except for smaller bezels, especially for the 45mm variant, which is expected to almost have double the display of its previous version. Apart from the size confirmation and some hardware upgrades, the video showcases some new features making their way to the fitness watch, such as Cardio Load, which will help with tracking the strain on the cardiovascular system during physical activities. It will provide real-time advice on running and other health and fitness activities. The smartwatch will have capabilities to view cameras, nest doorbells, and access offline maps, bringing users massive convenience.
The Pixel Watch 3 will have a battery that lasts all day and a charging speed that is 20 percent faster than the predecessor. It will also support 36 hours of battery-saving mode. The smartwatch comes in various band forms, with the addition of stretch bands, leather bands, and metal bands reserved for the 41mm model. Both sizes are to have an Actua Display and a peak brightness of up to 2,000 nits to give a clearer and better visual experience.
The long-awaited Ultra Wideband support is finally making it the new Pixel smartwatch, which will allow for the Watch Unlock advancement and pave the way for more capabilities. Google is gearing up for the August 13th launch of its Google Pixel Watch 3, which will feature advanced health and fitness tracking metrics.
