Google is bringing gifts for everyone as the company has announced that the AI-powered editing tools in the Google Photos app are now rolling out for everyone to use within the app. You are not going to require any subscription for it, so if you have been thinking about getting a Pixel device or a Google One premium subscription, then you don't have to, as the tools are going to be available for everyone to use for free.
Google has announced that all device will be able to use AI-powered features of Google Photos, but with a catch
For those wondering, Google Photos' famous Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, as well as Portrait light are some of the most famous AI-powered tools available, and previously, they required you to have a Google One subscription. This is going away now, as the company has announced that these tools will be available to everyone starting May 15, which is a day after Google I/O 2024.
It is obvious that this roll out is going to take some time before it is available to everyone, but with this roll out, a lot of people who are not using Google Photos would want to start using the service just because how good it actually is with these Ai-powered tools. Google even said how these services will slowly start becoming available on more tablets, allowing even more users to leverage the power of AI.
Google's Magic Eraser has been available on Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro since it launched, and the tool uses generative AI to make edits--the edits can be simple or really complex, depending on your choice, and honestly, for the most part, it works really, really well. Now, all devices that have Google Photos will be able to use it, and the best thing is that there are unlimited edits, so you are not going to run into any issues as far as the overall experience is concerned.
There is one thing that you need to know, however. Google Photos users on both Android and iOS are going to get access to 10 Magic Editor saves per month. If you do not want this limit, you are going to have to get a Pixel device or just subscribe to the Google One account.
