Google is Revamping the Find My Device Network to Work Better and Seamlessly Across All Devices

Google has introduced several improvements to the Find My Device network as it is about to become a lot better and more seamless when it comes to finding your devices and making sure that you remain protected. Google claims that it wants to ensure that the OS keeps you safe and simple things for you.

Google has finally made the Find My Network a lot more useful with a plethora of new features

To make sure that happens, Google is bringing a new Find My Device experience that will ensure you can find your device more seamlessly. Later this summer, the Find My Device network will be refreshed, and it will help you locate your devices and everything else in an easier manner. You will be able to ring compatible devices or view their location on a map in the app, even when they are not connected. Google says that the "Find My Device network will harness over a billion Android devices across the world to help you locate your missing belongings like headphones, tracker tags, or even your phone via Bluetooth proximity.'

Furthermore, you will be able to attach Bluetooth trackers from companies such as Tile, Chipolo, and Pebblebee to your objects, and they will work seamlessly with the Find My Device network. You will also be able to find your headphones like Pixel Buds and offerings from Sony and JBL.

Google has also mentioned that the Find My Device network was created with user privacy in mind, so you do not have to worry about anything going wrong when you are using such a service. Google has mentioned that the company will share more about the privacy safeguards that have been built into the new network.

In addition to that, Google has partnered with Apple to ensure that you are getting unknown tracker alerts on your devices. Both companies have worked together to create an industry standard. This is what Google has to say,

This is why later this summer we’re launching unknown tracker alerts on Android — which automatically notifies you if your phone determines that an unknown tracker is moving with you. You can view the device on a map to understand where it has been seen traveling with you, and play a sound on the tracker to help locate it. If you're still concerned about your safety, you'll be able to view instructions to physically disable the tracker and stop it from updating its location. We’ve also built in manual scanning so users can proactively search for unknown trackers that are near them. Unknown tracker alerts work with widely used Bluetooth trackers, including Apple AirTags and all trackers compatible with the Find My Device network.
