One of the things that I am looking forward to is getting the chance to use Assistant with Bard. Google Assistant has become my go-to whenever it comes to using it for queries, and honestly, it works better than some of the other options that are available. Now, I am really looking forward to the integration of Bard with Assistant, but it now appears that Google is gearing up for a rebrand, and if this does go through, we could end up getting a much simpler and streamlined name.
Assistant with Bard is not even out yet, and Google is already looking to rebrand it
Based on an APK teardown, folks over at 9to5Google have found evidence that Assistant with Bard could simply be renamed to Bard, which makes a lot more sense. Now, do keep in mind that this will. Just be a rebrand, and the original Assistant features and functionality are still going to be there. Google is trying to be sure that the name is easy to pronounce and recognize.
As you can see in the image above, the right screenshot shows an updated Bard, which simply replaces Assistant with Bard and adds more information. This change was spotted in the Google app 15.2. In addition to this minor change, Google has also gone ahead and updated several Assistant with Bard mentions to just Bard. This is more than enough to suggest that the rebranding is going through.

| Assistant with Bard Settings | Bard Settings |

As you can see in the table above, Google has replaced all the mentions of Assistant with Bard with just Bard, and honestly, I think it is much better and concise, and it will not cause any confusion going forward. Again, it is worth noting that the service has not launched so far, which means that you are going to get the chance to see all the changes in the near future.
Honestly, I am not too bothered with this change. Whatever name Google decides to go with, we do know that it is going to work and will retain almost all the features that made Assistant so famous in the first place. I am just looking forward to the best possible functionality and I am sure that other users would also want the same thing.
