This eGPU solution features some really cool tech, with the highlights being:

  • Powered by the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture and DLSS 4
  • The GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB empowers laptops with extra computing power, capable of handling gaming, creating, and AI applications.
  • Thunderbolt 5 plug and play
  • Supports Thunderbolt™5 daisy chain
  • WINDFORCE cooling system
  • Supports Thunderbolt™ 5*1 and USB 3.2 Gen 2 *3 for peripherals
  • Supports Ethernet port
  • Supports Power Delivery (PD 3.0) for Quick Charge
  • RGB lighting
  • Compact design for easy portability

Unlike the massive RTX 5090 AI BOX, the AORUS RTX 5060 Ti AI BOX is a lightweight eGPU solution for everyday AI and gaming needs. It measures 243x117x48mm, and comes with RGB Lightning. Cooling is handled by an internal Windforce fan solution, which should keep the GPU running optimally.

IO on the AORUS RTX 5060 Ti AI BOX eGPU includes Thunderbolt 5 with Daisy Chain support, and three USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports. There's also an Ethernet port, while the device itself supports PD 3.0 for quick charging.

Gigabyte has also demonstrated that there's only a 5% gap in performance between its AORUS RTX 5060 Ti AI BOX running through Thunderbolt 5 port and a PCIe-based GeForce RTX 5060 Ti solution. The TB5.0 solution scores 14,669 points in 3DMark Time Spy while the PCIe-based solution scores 15,441 points. As for pricing and availability, it should be priced under the $1000 US range, considering the 5060 Ti 16 GB has an MSRP of $429 US, but we will try to confirm the exact details.
