Germany Misses Out On DDR5 RAM Price Relief As Other Regions See Temporary Declines

You were lucky if you were able to buy DDR5 RAM for slightly lower prices, because in some regions, there was no difference.

While some regions, like China, saw a sudden drop in RAM prices, not every region was lucky enough to witness it. China saw a nearly 30% price drop for memory, and even major US retailers like Amazon saw nearly a 20% price decline for several DDR5 RAM kits. According to some reports, Google TurboQuant was behind the volatility, but apparently, the impact didn't affect the RAM prices in Germany.

As per the 3D Center's data, there have been no price drops in the last 2.5 weeks, and March remains the only month to see a noticeable price drop before the uncertainty hit the market. We reported this earlier, and the data clearly showed better stability in the German market. However, the data for the last 2.5 weeks show that the overall DDR5 RAM prices rose by 1.1%.

Some memory kits saw slight price increases, while others saw reductions. The 2x 32 GB DDR5 kits saw a noticeable price hike in the last 2.5 weeks, but 2x 48 GB DDR5-6400 remains the major factor affecting the average price. Keep in mind that the data includes multiple German retailers and several memory kits across these retailers for an accurate representation.

All in all, the RAM prices are still +313% higher compared to July 2025, but thankfully, it's a decent drop compared to the January 2026 prices. The market is still quite volatile, and despite seeing some relief in various regions, the demand for DRAM is still growing. So, it's totally possible to see a further increase in DRAM prices in the coming weeks or months.
