With the new GPU sales strategy, we are seeing a sudden shift in popularity for some GPUs and the latest retailer data reveals the most popular cards.
AMD Radeon RX 9000 Series Maintains its Dominance on Mindfactory, While NVIDIA RTX 5080 Leads NVIDIA's RTX 50 Lineup
The latest GPU sales data for Mindfactory is out, revealing what has changed in the past few weeks. Keep in mind that this doesn't represent the exact global GPU popularity and is specific to Germany. With this retailer's sales data, we still get an idea of what users are buying the most these days. Since there has been a huge shift in the sales and supply strategy for GPUs by both NVIDIA and AMD, the effect can be seen in the sales for each model.
Right now, some GPUs that used to sell a fraction of the most popular GPUs are now leading the charts. Among them is the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080, which didn't get so much popularity until now, when NVIDIA decided to prioritize this card due to its higher performance than any other 16 GB RTX 50 series card. We have previously reported that NVIDIA will prioritize 8 GB GPUs, but the RTX 5080 will be the only 16 GB SKU to see more supply than other 16 GB cards, such as RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB and RTX 5070 Ti 16 GB.
This can be seen on the charts as the RTX 5070 Ti is now trailing behind the RTX 5080 with 55 units shipped in the last week. RTX 5080 remains ahead with 95 units, and is the best-selling NVIDIA GPU on Mindfactory. That said, AMD's RDNA 4 GPUs have retained their dominance, with Radeon RX 9070 XT being the best seller. The GPU has been at the top for months and is followed by the RX 9060 XT, which is available in both 8 GB and 16 GB editions, the latter being the more popular flavor.
NVIDIA's RTX 5070 remains a popular choice as well, since it falls between high and low VRAM SKUs and remains one of the three SKUs that account for 75% of the total shipments this quarter. RTX 5060 8 GB is unfortunately not selling that well, with only 50 units despite being prioritized by NVIDIA. Surprisingly, the Intel Arc B580 remains a popular choice and is currently outselling GPUs like Radeon RX 9070 with nearly 40 units shipped in a week. Unfortunately, the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB and 16GB variants aren’t mentioned, likely because the author overlooked them.
RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB and 16 GB cards are still available on Mindfactory for purchase, even though they are pricier, similar to other SKUs. We won't know how many RTX 5060 Ti cards have been sold through this particular retailer, but the GPU is definitely selling decently, considering a drop in price across multiple regions. The RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB, which touched $700 recently, can now be found for a $539-$549 on Amazon.com and on Mindfactory; its price remains in the 500-600 Euros range as well.
