Google introduced the Gemini 1.5 Pro in February earlier this year, and the company has just introduced its Gemini Advanced subscription, which will offer a number of features that will please those who are looking for a complete AI experience.
Gemini Advanced is going to help users achieve a lot with the help of AI
For those who don't know, one of the best things about Gemini 1.5 is that it brings a long context window that starts at 1 million tokens. Since its launch, Google has worked on multiple factors to make it even better. Gemini Advanced can now process “multiple large documents, up to 1,500 pages total, or summarize 100 emails.” When you are using it on the web, you will be able to “upload files via Google Drive or directly from your device” to “get answers and insights about dense documents." As far as privacy is concerned, Google says, “Gemini keeps your files private to you, and they’re not used to train our models.”
Another upcoming feature will be the ability to understand spreadsheets and other data files. It will even be able to analyze these files and find insights. You can also ask Gemini Advanced to create custom visualizations and charts. Data analysis files will also be supported in the coming weeks, making the tools even more powerful. Moving further, there is another feature that will be able to “handle an hour of video content or codebases with more than 30,000 lines.”
For those wondering about the release date, Gemini Advanced using Gemini 1.5 is launching today and will be available in over 35 languages and more than 150+ countries worldwide. Aside from Gemini Advance, Google is also expanding the Gemini Extension with Google Calendar, Tasks, Keep, and various other apps. Additionally, a YouTube Music extension is also launching today that will let you search for songs by mentioning a favorite verse or a featured artist. This is definitely going to be great for those who are always looking for songs featured on TikTok.
Another thing that is coming to Gemini Advanced is Gems, which are basically your customized versions of the chatbot. Users will be able to create a gym buddy using AI, a coding partner, and even a writing guide. This is something that should make the overall experience with AI a lot better, and if you are having a hard time getting done with your task, this is definitely something that you will look forward to. Here is how Google explains this:
Simply describe what you want your Gem to do and how you want it to respond — like “you’re my running coach, give me a daily running plan and be positive, upbeat and motivating.” Gemini will take those instructions and, with one click, enhance them to create a Gem that meets your specific needs.
The good news is that every Gemini user will have access to a number of premade Gems, such as Learning Coach. The purpose here is to ensure that AI is being used in a helpful way.
