After the release of its foldable, Samsung has shifted its focus to the upcoming S series and the Galaxy Tab S10, which will be unveiled soon. The previous generation tablet gained popularity for its 11-inch OLED display, which made it easy to carry and perfect for entertainment. Now, it seems that the company is working vigorously on the S10 lineup. Earlier reports mentioned that the South Korean tech giant will stick to the Plus and Ultra variants and opt for a larger screen. A new leak suggests that there would be no design overhaul for the upcoming tablet, and instead, it would be merely a more refined version of the previous generation.
Galaxy Tab S10 would have the same notch and dual camera layout as the Tab S9 and would not see any major design iterations
Samsung seems to be pivoting in a new direction by only focusing on the bigger models for its Galaxy Tab S10 lineup. The company appears to be letting go of the base model, with the attention focused on the Plus and Ultra variants. Users have been expecting the new premium models to come packed with some major changes, but much to their dismay, the company is sticking to small iterations aimed at improving the product but not reinventing it.
A renowned tipster, Evan Blass posted a render of the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra on X, giving us a glimpse of the design that the top-tier model would sport. The first thing you notice is that it keeps the notch at the top of the display, as in previous models, and no noticeable changes have been made on this end. Similarly, Samsung is sticking to the dual camera layout of the Tab S9 Ultra, and there are no upgrades to the camera setup. In the shared image, you also see the back of the tablet following the same pattern as the previous generation and the accessories being the same as the S9 Ultra.
The leaked render displays the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra in a gray color tone, and it is expected that the upcoming tablet will sport a 14.6-inch display with prominent bezels such as the one shown in the image. The one major noticeable difference is the dual USB Type-C ports on the bottom of the tablet, which were not there before. Previous FCC listing did give away the 45W fast charging that the Tab S10 Ultra would come with, and we are also expecting Samsung to go with the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset for its premium models in an attempt to diversify its supply chain, unlike its usual pattern of using Qualcomm's Snapdragon chipset to be power the tablets.
The Galaxy Tab S10 would most likely launch with Android 14 based on One UI 6.1.1 and be unveiled in October alongside the Galaxy S24 FE.
