Samsung has been reported on a few occasions to tweak the design of the Galaxy S25 Ultra to make it similar to the Galaxy Note 7, which only means that we should prepare ourselves to say goodbye to those sharp corners and welcome the rounded ones. Those patiently waiting to get their hands on the flagship next year may also notice that it carries less weight than competing products, and that is because, according to a tipster, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will be lighter than even the iPhone 16 Pro Max.
A thinner chassis may be used for the Galaxy S25 Ultra, along with the combination of titanium, making it the lightest flagship around
The information posted by Ice Universe on X also mentioned that the Galaxy S25 Ultra would be lighter than the Pixel 9 Pro XL, which was expected, as the latter is made up of a combination of glass and aluminum, not titanium. However, the latest rumor pretty much states that the Galaxy S24 Ultra, which weighs in at 232 grams, will be heavier than its successor. However, it remains to be seen if the Galaxy S25 Ultra can be lighter than the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which weighs 221 grams.
Overall, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is said to have a display size of 6.86 inches, and it is rumored to match the body width of the iPhone 16 Pro Max. It is also nearly 100 percent confirmed that Samsung will retain a titanium shell on the upcoming flagship because that is the only way the company can make the flagship lighter. However, the Korean giant is not expected to use a different kind of material to bring down that weight.
The S25 Ultra will be the thinnest and lightest of all Ultra flagship phones to be released soon, including iPhone 16 Pro Max and Pixel 9 Pro XL.

In fact, a previous rumor claimed that Samsung would retain the use of Grade 2 titanium for the Galaxy S25 Ultra, suggesting that minor design tweaks and reduced thickness would be the significant contributing factor to the weight reduction. Unfortunately, the tipster has been incorrect in the past, so we recommend our readers treat this rumor with a pinch of salt until we have absolute confirmation, which will likely only happen during the official launch event.
