Galaxy S25 Ultra dimensions compared with the Galaxy S24 Ultra

As we enter the fourth quarter of 2024, leaks and rumors surrounding the Galaxy S25 lineup, notably the Galaxy S25 Ultra, will pick up immense steam. One tipster has shared the dimensions of Samsung’s upcoming and current-generation flagship, revealing that the company will introduce a bigger display next year thanks to some minor tweaks that help reduce the bezels while maintaining almost the same physical size.

Galaxy S25 Ultra to match the iPhone 16 Pro Max in body width, 2025 flagship to sport a 6.86-inch display size when measured diagonally

Shortly after sharing a render of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which revealed that Samsung intends on getting rid of the sharper corners and opting for rounded ones instead, Ice Universe has now compared the dimensions of the Galaxy S24 Ultra with its successor on X. Looking at the specifications, the current-generation premium handset sports a 6.79-inch display, while the Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.86-inch panel. On paper, these figures appear identical, but it seems that Samsung has had to do a little tweaking to increase that screen size, even by a minuscule amount.

For instance, where the Galaxy S24 Ultra sports a body width of 79.0mm, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will measure 77.6mm. While that might seem like a downgrade, here is the interesting bit. The Galaxy S24 Ultra has a horizontal ‘end to end’ display measurement of 72.3mm, whereas the Galaxy S25 Ultra is said to measure 73.0mm. This suggests that Samsung’s upcoming top-end model will boast a higher ‘screen to body’ ratio thanks to the reduced bezels, allowing the flagship to flaunt a bigger display.

These dimension differences do not appear to hinder the S-Pen area, and from this angle, the Galaxy S25 Ultra appears to be much easier to hold with its reduced width and rounded corners. Of course, one should be reminded that Ice Universe has been incorrect in the past, and we will update our readers if there are any changes to these figures, so stay tuned.
