Samsung has reached a point where it has become a habit for the company to recycle parts from older devices. The Galaxy S23 series uses the same sensors found in the Galaxy S22 series, and the upcoming Galaxy S24 series (base and variant) will also use the same sensors. However, based on a new tip, Samsung could be changing the cameras on the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Plus variants.
Galaxy S25 series to use upgraded camera sensors from Sony
From a renowned tipster, we are now hearing that the Galaxy S25 and the Plus variant are not going to use the ISOCELL camera. Instead, Samsung is going to use a Sony sensor for these phones, which means that there is a high possibility we end up seeing better camera performance.

Sadly, the source did not reveal the exact camera model or sensor size that will be used in the Galaxy S25 devices, but it is safe to say that we might be getting something powerful and good. Going forward, we are expecting the company to bring a number of advancements, so if you have been looking for something that truly delivers on its promise, then the new phones should get the job done.
Currently, Samsung is busy with the Galaxy S24 series, but considering how it is very close to launch, we can expect an official invitation sometime this month as the phones are going to launch in January 2024. As far as the Galaxy S25 series is concerned, we are going to have to wait till the second half of 2024 before we start getting more information on these devices, and hopefully, we will learn a lot more once we move there.
Although there is nothing wrong with using the same camera sensors every year, a lot of hardcore users who are willing to spend upwards of $1,000 often feel disappointed, and this is a great step by Samsung to actually deliver better performance for the cameras found on the Galaxy S25. I would not suggest you start expecting more information on these phones just yet, but we will keep you posted as we get the chance to learn more.
