The Galaxy S24 series is undoubtedly very impressive and for all the right reasons. If you are looking for a flagship experience with a lot of tech built into it, these are the phones that you need to look for. One of the stars of the shows happened to be Galaxy AI, which looks super-impressive in almost all the demos that we have seen so far. However, a recent finding suggests that Samsung might switch to a paid model for all of this technology.
Paying to use Galaxy AI features does not sound like a good business idea or a good idea in general
Based on the information mentioned in a footnote, the Galaxy AI features that are available on the Galaxy S24 could be only free until 2025, and after that, Samsung could start charging a fee for these features. At the time of writing, we are not sure how much the company is going to charge or what features will be paid, but honestly, this is something that might reflect poorly on the company and considering how we still have around two years before this change comes to place, I am going to wait and see how this works out.
Since its discovery, the footnote has been deleted, but you can check it out below,
“Galaxy AI features will be provided for free until the end of 2025 on supported Samsung Galaxy devices. Different terms may apply for AI features provided by third parties.”
Honestly, I am not really surprised that Samsung has decided to make Galaxy AI a paid feature, but two years can change a lot of things, and there is a possibility that the company might withdraw its decision. It is too soon to tell anything, but we are going to keep you posted about all the details that might come forward in the coming months.
Do you think Samsung is doing the right thing by making the Galaxy AI a paid service? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
