A new Forspoken patch is now live on PC, introducing an update for a select graphics setting and a variety of fixes for a smoother and improved experience.

The new 1.03 patch, which went live earlier today, fixes a variety of issues, such as an issue that prevented a mouse side button from being delete3d for the 5-button mouse config, crashing issues on certain GPUs, and more.

Technical Issues:
・Fixed an issue where the side button setting can't be deleted for the 5-button mouse config.
*The system text accompanied with this update will only be displayed when the text language is set to English or Japanese. The system text for other languages will soon be implemented in an upcoming update.
・Fixed a crash that can occur when using a specific GPU.
・Fixed an issue where screen flickers occur when using certain Intel GPUs.
・Fixed an audio issue that caused unintended noise.
・The UI display size has been adjusted for the Steam Deck when the resolution is set to 1280 x 800.
・Various minor fixes.

The Forspoken new patch also updates the number of displayed NPCs when the Model Detail is set to low, as well as certain objects' graphics that appear on the New York map. The patch also updates the system so that it will accept inputs from the used controller in case multiple controllers are connected and more.

Graphical Adjustments:
・Updated the graphical settings to cap the number of displayed NPCs when the Model Detail Level is set to Low.
・Updated certain objects' graphics that appear in the New York map.

Feature Updates:
・The system has been updated to accept the button inputs from the controller that is used even when multiple controllers are connected to the PC.
・The patch version will be displayed on the game's title screen.
・The clickable area for each menu's entries has been widened for mouse inputs.

Forspoken is now available on PC and PlayStation 5 worldwide. You can learn more about the game by checking out Alessio's review, where he highlighted how the game's magic parkour and combat are two of its most remarkable features.

Forspoken is a fun action game that shines best when you're taking advantage of the great magic parkour to soar through the fantasy world of Athia and blast enemies with overwhelmingly cool spells. However, its content is underwhelming, its RPG systems are weak, and its visuals are less advanced than advertised. As such, Forspoken's potential is largely unrealized in its current state. It's still a decent romp for genre fans to go through, though waiting until it gets a discount or is added to one of the many subscription services is recommended.
