The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will be the next greatest chipset from Qualcomm, and it should be coming out sometime later this year. Although brands like Samsung won't be utilizing it until the start of 2025, the same cannot be said about other companies as they are already preparing to release their devices powered by the chipset. Our latest tip suggests that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will show face sometime in October, later this year.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 4-powered devices will include OnePlus 13, Xiaomi 15, and a couple more to be released later this year

For those wondering, the information is coming from Digital Chat Station, which is notably reliable when it comes to such leaks pertaining to the Chinese smartphone market. Considering how Chinese smartphone brands like OnePlus, Xiaomi, iQOO, Redmagic, and more will be releasing their flagships towards the end of this year in the domestic market, it is more than safe to say that these phones will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, which has not been announced so far but should be coming out pretty soon.

The source also talks about how the engineering samples we have seen so far are using a low-frequency version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, which means that Qualcomm will go for something even faster as we go forward toward the release date.

Another thing to note here is that based on the information we have about the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, it does not appear that the phone will offer good power efficiency. There is a report that indicates how phones powered by this chipset will require a larger battery, which is indicative enough that this chipset will not be efficient when it comes to the devices' battery performance.

Whatever the case might be, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 could see an official announcement pretty soon, and once the chipset comes out, we will start hearing a lot more details about it. As far as the devices are concerned, you can expect the OnePlus 13, Xiaomi 15 series, and many other devices to feature this chipset, and we will be sure to update you on all the information that we receive.
