Final Fantasy XV Mobile Project Revealed By Artist Resume

Feb 9, 2016 at 03:26pm EST

Final Fantasy XV is soon going to be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but it seems like something else related to the highly anticipated new role playing game from Square Enix is currently in development, according to the resume of an artist working with Chinese company Changyou.

According to this resume, the artist has worked on a project called Final Fantasy XV Mobile, creating concept art for it. Very little is known about this project, but there's a good chance that it will be some sort of companion app that will be released alongside the full game later this year. It definitely wouldn't be surprising, considering director Hajime Tabata recently mentioned that other Final Fantasy XV projects are currently in the works. (Thanks, qualitydisc)

A big event called Uncovered Final Fantasy XV will be held next month. The event will reveal all the latest details on the game as well as the final release date for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Last week, it's been revealed that the Uncovered Final Fantasy website code includes mention of a PC version. A possible retail version is also mentioned, so there's the chance that this version of the game will be announced during next month's event.

Last month new Final Fantasy XV footage has surfaced online, showcasing a very interesting stealth sequence featuring plenty of combat improvements over the Episode Duscae demo. More details on the new combat feature will surely be revealed during the Uncovered Final Fantasy XV event.

Final Fantasy XV will launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on a yet to be confirmed 2016 release date. The playable demo Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae can be downloaded on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One only through a special code found in Final Fantasy Type-0 HD launch copies. More on the role playing game by Square Enix will be coming soon so stay tuned for all the latest news.
