The classic PS2 Japanese role-playing game Final Fantasy XII is getting closer to its glorious current gen comeback with Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, and Square Enix released a brand new trailer today showing what players should expect out of this remaster.

FINAL FANTASY XII THE ZODIAC AGE improves upon the classic FINAL FANTASY® XII, now more beautiful and exhilarating than ever. The high-definition release introduces several modern advancements, and will be the first time for western audiences to experience the Zodiac Job System.

A grand adventure awaits both new and returning players. Experience the world of Ivalice like never before.

Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age comes with some brand new features not seen in the original Western release, such as the Zodiac Job System, which allows players to pick two different job classes for each character.

In FINAL FANTASY XII THE ZODIAC AGE, players are transported to the grand world of Ivalice where magic is commonplace and airships fill the skies. War has engulfed the kingdom of Dalmasca, leaving it in ruin and uncertainty. Princess Ashe, the only surviving heir to the Dalmascan throne, devotes herself to the resistance to liberate her country. Accompanied by Vaan, a young man who lost his family in the war, together these unlikely allies and their companions lead the fight for the freedom of their homeland.

Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age launches this July on PlayStation 4 in all regions.
