Final Fantasy VII Revelation is set to conclude the Remake trilogy during Spring 2027 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and Nintendo Switch 2, but Square Enix's post launch plans were exposed today by database tracker updates on the Epic Games Store, suggesting the story will continue past the ending of the base game with additional content.

The leaked listing, which has been last modified on June 2, a few days before the game's official reveal during this year's Summer Game Fest, including not only the base game, but also a Premium Edition, a Premium Plus Edition and up to seven DLC packs, which are likely to include minor additions to the experience like DLC packs for Remake and Rebirth did, such as optional summons and gear.

However, the biggest reveal in the listing is the Story Expansion Pass, which strongly suggests that substantial expansions in the vein of Remake Intergrade's INTERmission will be released at some point. To be fair, this reveal isn't particularly surprising, as Final Fantasy VII Revelation director Naoki Hamaguchi himself told us during last year's Tokyo Game Show that there was a concrete possibility of DLC expansion for the final entry in the Remake trilogy.

Still, it will be very interesting to see whether these Story Expansions will adapt content from the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII, such as Dirge of Cerberus or the Advent Children movie, or if they will be entirely original. Regardless, there's a very good chance it will be high-quality content, as the development team has proven time and time again with the first two entries in the series it is more than capable of expanding the original game in some very interesting ways.
