Some time after its previous showing, we finally managed to get another look at the Final Fantasy VII Remake during yesterday's State of Play. Square Enix hasn't said much about the game, only promising new information for next month, but the Japanese publisher shared a new press release today confirming that the release plans for the game haven't changed from what was previously announced.
In this new press release, Square Enix reiterated that the game will still be an episodic release, which is not surprising considering the huge scope of the original game. This also means that the episodes following the first will likely be released on next-generation consoles.
Stated at the very end of that game will indeed still be split into parts (分作) for those who were still doubting (not that I think many were).

The Final Fantasy VII Remake is being developed by some of the key members of the original development team, such as Tetsuya Nomura, Yoshinori Kitase, and Kazushige Nojima.
