Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the middle chapter of the ambitious Final Fantasy VII Remake project, arrives in just a few short months, and Square Enix has provided more info about the game’s world. We know FF7 Rebirth will feature a much larger, more open world than FF7 Remake and Square Enix has detailed some of the regions you’ll be exploring, including the Grasslands, Junon, and the Gold Saucer.

Additionally, Square Enix has detailed some of the mechanics and common points of interest you’ll encounter while exploring Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Of course, these include minigames, including a full collectible card game “Queen’s Blood” and the ability to play the piano. You can get the details, below.

Square Enix certainly seems to be packing a lot into Final Fantasy VII Rebirth – so much, that there’s no plans to add anything extra. Speaking to Spanish gaming site Vandal, FF7 Remake producer Tetsuya Nomura declared the company is “not planning any DLC for this installment.” That’s perhaps a bit disappointing considering Final Fantasy VII Remake got the meaty “Intergrade” update, but if this means the final act of the FF7 Remake arrives sooner, I don’t think fans will be too upset.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth arrives on PS5 on February 29, 2024. The game is only guaranteed to remain a PS5 exclusive for 3 months, although Square Enix hasn’t detailed if or when it will arrive on new platforms. Need to know more? Do check out Wccftech’s full FF7 Rebirth hands-on impressions.
