Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles, the long-rumored remaster of the classic tactical role-playing game originally released on the first PlayStation, has been announced today with a new trailer.

The trailer, which was shown during today's State of Play, revealed the remaster will come with two different modes - Classic and Enhanced. Classic mode will offer the original experience offered by the PlayStation version, while the Enhanced version will come with plenty of improvements, including better graphics, a new interface, refined gameplay, and full voice acting that is sure to make the game's excellent story even more engaging. The new trailer also confirmed the remaster will launch on September 30th worldwide, with pre-orders opening today.

FINAL FANTASY TACTICS - The Ivalice Chronicles includes two different versions of the game: enhanced and classic. The enhanced version adds fully voiced dialogue, an optimized and updated UI, graphical improvements, and a number of other quality of life features. The classic version unites the graphics and gameplay of the original game with the renowned War of the Lions translation and includes convenient features such as auto save.

Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles launches on September 30th on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
