Apple fans are eagerly waiting for the next big iPhone reveal, and the event is expected to take place on Tuesday, September 9, according to recent rumors. Apple will send out official event invites on August 26, giving media personnel and fans about two weeks to prepare. However, much like every year, beware of fake event invites for the iPhone 17 launch. They may look appealing, but they are not real.
A fake invite hinting at a copper iPhone 17 Pro has stirred excitement as Apple’s September event nears
A fake iPhone 17 Pro event invite has surfaced online, shared by The Apple Design on X. The invite features a colorful design using copper tones and a playful “Futurebound” tagline, making it look strikingly official. It even mimics Apple’s typical typography and layout, which could convince some users that it’s the real deal. Moreover, the copper-orange Apple logo hints at the rumored special color option for the iPhone 17 Pro models. However, we believe the company would not be this direct - instead, if Apple chose to reference such details, it would likely be through subtle easter eggs.

Apple is expected to launch four new models in the iPhone 17 lineup this year, including the standard iPhone 17, the iPhone 17 Air, and two iPhone 17 Pro models. The iPhone 17 Air will be a highlight of the event with its ultra-thin design, while the Pro models are also likely to grab attention thanks to their redesign and major feature upgrades. The Air will replace the Plus model in the lineup, positioned between the standard and Pro models in both features and price.
The iPhone 17 will be powered by the A19 chip, while the iPhone 17 Pro models will feature the A19 Pro chip. Interestingly, the iPhone 17 Air will also be equipped with the A19 Pro chip, though with one less GPU core. The standard and Air models are also expected to feature a higher refresh rate display, marking the first time a non-Pro iPhone has had this feature. Alongside these handsets, the company is also rumored to announce the Apple Watch Series 11 and AirPods Pro 3. We’ll be covering the event in detail, so stay tuned.
