Erying has officially launched its Intel 14th Gen "HX" MoTD motherboards, featuring powerful specs at an affordable price point.

Erying's Intel 14th Gen "HX" MoTD Motherboards feature Core i9 14900HX, Core i7 14700HX, & Core i7 14650HX CPUs, Vapor Chamber Heatspreader & More

Erying has prepared its brand new MoTD motherboards which are based on Intel's 14th Gen "HX" Raptor Lake Refresh CPUs. The new motherboards feature CPUs that are intended for the mobile segment but instead of using a LGA socket, they come soldered with these BGA CPUs.

The Erying Intel 14th Gen "HX" MoTD motherboards are listed on Tmall for 1799 Yuan or US$252. It's unclear whether the CPU and motherboard will be available at this price and what will be the starting configuration.

Nonetheless, we can see from the page that the kit brings the flagship Intel Core i9 14900HX CPU, which boasts 24 cores and 32 threads. Similarly, there are two more CPUs available with the kit: The Core i7 14700HX, featuring 20 cores and 28 threads, and the Core i7 14650HX, bringing 16 cores and 24 threads.

The Intel 14th Gen "HX" CPUs will be permanently soldered on to the motherboard and can't be upgraded. However, the motherboard itself can let users upgrade other components. The motherboard features a Micro-ATX form factor for compact systems and brings the following specifications:

The Erying MoTD motherboards belong to the Polestar series and feature the HM770 chipset. The kit will support up to 5600 MT/s of memory and will allow the installation of up to 192 GB of total RAM capacity. There are 3x M.2 NVMe slots and similarly much of the stuff is similar to a regular LGA socket motherboard. The motherboard comes in a mATX package with an 8+1+1 phase VRM design and loads of heatsinks covering the power delivery, the M.2 slots, and the PCH. The CPU is equipped with a vapor chamber heat spreader and features support with standard LGA 1700 socket coolers.

In terms of IO, the motherboard has a range of USB ports and two full-length PCIe Gen4 slots which include one x16 and one x4 connection. The three M.2 slots come in one Gen4x4 and two Gen3x4 connections. The MoTD motherboard also rocks a 2.5 GbE LAN port & WiFi6 wireless connectivity.

This will let users maximize their desktop's performance without increasing power consumption as the mobile counterparts are much more efficient than the desktop Raptor Lake Refresh chips. Moreover, users will be able to upgrade their PCs by installing dedicated graphics cards, and upgrading memory, storage, and various other components.
