EA just released a new trailer for its Upcoming First Person Shooter "BattleField 3", The Trailer is titled "The 5 Pillars of Frostbite 2" which makes it obvious that it'll detail the Frostbite 2.0 In-Game features. I've watched the trailer over ten times now and damn its Awesome. The detail DICE has put in its character Animations, Destructible Environments and the highly detailed landscapes look spectacular.
The Five Pillars are as follow:
- Animation
- Destruction
- Scale
- Audio
- Rendering
The game is highly anticipated by FPS fans which would offer them a elastic combat experience than the COD Series. The game would also benefit from Nvidia Cuda, PhysX and 3D Vision Features which would require one beefy rig to run it. The part where the whole road shatters and building falls off are truly EPIC, The detailed landscapes with all the volumetric smoke and fog and lightning used in the corridors and back alleys are remarkable. Just shows how much graphics have progressed. Do watch the Trailer in 720P for an amazing spine chilling experience:
The game is scheduled for Holiday 2011 release on the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
