In all the iOS 16 RC noise, Apple has released iOS 15.7, iPadOS 15.7, and macOS 12.6 RC for registered developers.
iOS 15.7, iPadOS 15.7, and macOS 15.7 RC Arrive for Download at the Oddest Possible Time
Apple is all set to release iOS 16, watchOS 9, and tvOS 16 next week on the 12th of September. But, Apple has seeded iOS 15.7, iPadOS 15.7, and macOS 12.6 RC to registered developers. Basically, if you don't plan on upgrading to the new software when it comes out next week, you can stick around with the old one. Apple will not force you to upgrade, yet.
If you are a registered developer with Apple, you have the option to take the RC build for a spin. We're certain that the final version of this software will become available to everyone next week, alongside the final version of iOS 16.
