After two weeks of silence, Apple released the third beta of watchOS 11, tvOS 18, and visionOS 2 to developers so they could test out the new features and report bugs and issues. The company will release the aforementioned updates later this year, and the beta builds are Apple's way of ensuring there are no major issues and that the build is stable enough for installation.
Apple has released visionOS 2, watchOS 11, and tvOS 18 beta 3 to developers for testing
The latest beta builds also bring new features and changes to the mix, so they are more than a welcome addition. Starting with watchOS 11, the third developer beta can be downloaded after you have connected your Apple ID to your Developer Account. This will ensure that your device receives the update over the air. Now, all you have to do is launch the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, go to General > Software Updates > Beta Updates, and download the relevant beta on your Apple Watch.
Apple has also released the third developer beta of tvOS 18, which can also be downloaded over the air after connecting your Apple ID with your Developer Account. All you have to do is opt into the beta through the Settings app on your Apple TV, and you are good to go.
Finally, Apple has also given you the option to download and install visionOS 2 beta 3 on your Vision Pro headset. The latest update can be downloaded and installed through the Settings app on your headset. Simply head over to the Software Update section and then tap on the Beta Updates option. Once you do that, select Developer Beta, and you are good to go. Again, make sure that your Apple ID is connected to your Developer Account so that you can receive the update over the air.
The latest beta builds will bring a boatload of new features and changes which the company announced last month on stage at WWDC. We will be keeping a close eye on the updates and changes coming with the latest release, so be sure to stick around.
