Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze is soon going to be released on Nintendo Switch with additional content, but it seems like the character will also star in a brand new game.

Yesterday, the Nintendo Italy Instagram profile shared an image with an interesting caption, saying that there is no two without three, which could be referring to the two Donkey Kong games developed by Retro Studios. If it is indeed like this, it could be a tease for a third game developed by the team.

Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze for Nintendo Switch will include all the content found in the Wii U release as well as a new playable character, Funky Kong.

This title includes all the fun and challenge of the original game, plus a new beginner-friendly mode that lets players enjoy this critically acclaimed adventure as groovy surfing simian Funky Kong. Funky Kong can double jump, hover, perform infinite rolls and even perform infinite underwater corkscrews. Thanks to his sturdy surfboard, even spikes can't slow him down.

If the Donkey Kong Switch game is indeed real, we probably won't have to wait much longer for an announcement. We will keep you updated on the matter as soon as more comes in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
