Dell Releases 32-inch 4K QD-OLED, 27/32-inch 4K IPS, And Alienware 4K QD-OLED Gaming Monitors at CES
One of the leading display manufacturers, Dell, has today announced several new high-end monitors for professionals, content creators, and gamers. The company introduced four 4K display panels at the CES event, revealing its cutting-edge offerings for enthusiasts.
These include QD-OLED and IPS panels, bringing top-notch features for visual enhancement. The first one is the Dell 32 Plus 4K QD-OLED (Model: S3225QC) monitor, which Dell calls the world's first 31.5" QD-OLED monitor with AI-enhanced 3D Spatial Audio, delivering hyperrealistic audio for better immersion. Through AI-driven head tracking, this monitor aims to offer accurate sound delivery via 5x 5W speakers.
It boasts 3840x2160p resolution with Dolby Vision and HDR True Black 400 support, enhancing the visual fidelity further. While it is specially crafted for professionals, the monitor supports AMD FreeSync Premium and runs at a 120 Hz refresh rate for a pleasant gaming experience. Its connectivity includes a single USB-C that can be used for display output as well as power delivery of up to 90W, but another 15W USB-C is also available for quick peripheral connection.
There are two more professional 4K monitors in Dell's catalog, both featuring an IPS panel. Dell says these are the world's first IPS Black monitors with a 3000:1 contrast ratio, which is around 3x higher than regular IPS panels. Available in two different screen sizes, users can either opt for the 27-inch 4K display, namely UltraSharp 27 4K Thunderbolt Hub Monitor (Model: U2725QE) for high PPI or they can settle with the UltraSharp 32 4K Thunderbolt Hub Monitor (Model: U3225QE) for better immersion.
Each of these monitors brings 99% DCI-P3 and 100% sRGB color spaces along with Rec709 for excellent color accuracy of Delta E<2. With the ability to run with up to a 120 Hz refresh rate, these monitors can offer great fluidity for work and gaming. At the I/O, users will find the Thunderbolt 4 hub, where one can utilize the 140W USB-C for device charging, and several more USB-C and USB-A ports for peripheral connectivity. Plus, there are two DisplayPorts and one HDMI port for versatile connectivity.
The fourth is for enthusiast gamers, bringing QD-OLED technology for improved clarity and ultra-low latency. It's the Alienware 27 4K QD-OLED Gaming Monitor (Model: AW2725Q), featuring a 3840x2160p resolution with up to 240 Hz refresh rate. The monitor boasts an ultra-low 0.03ms GtG response time, NVIDIA G-Sync Compatibility, and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro for tear-free gameplay.
Apart from being excellent for gaming, it also brings superb color reproduction and accuracy, delivering 99% DCI-P3 color coverage and Delta E<2 accuracy for color grading. It also features Dolby Vision and DisplayHDR True Black 400 support for improved clarity and brightness. The monitor is equipped with anti-burn-in technologies, but Dell will be providing a three-year advanced exchange warranty to cover OLED burn-in problems.
