Dead Island 2 sales

Dead Island 2 finally arrives in just a bit over a week, and Deep Silver and developer Dambuster Studios have revealed what kind of rig you’ll need to run the game. The requirements are fairly hefty in some respects, but not too eye-watering overall. You’ll be able to play on Recommended 1080p/60fps settings with a Radeon RX 6800 XT or GeForce RTX 2070, although you will need 16 GB of RAM. Meanwhile, If you’re looking for highest-quality Ultra settings, you’ll need a Radeon RX 6950 XT or a GeForce RTX 3090.

Fingers crossed for a good PC port, although it should be mentioned that this is an Unreal Engine 4 game, so perhaps maintain some caution.

Deep Silver also attached a Q&A to the PC specs, answering some questions about the console versions of Dead Island 2 and more. While exact details are still forthcoming, it seems the Xbox Series X/S and PS5 versions of Dead Island 2 will be targeting 60fps, while the last-gen versions will be 30fps. While on the subject of platforms, unfortunately, it seems the game will not support crossplay. A bit disappointing considering co-op seems to be one of Dead Island 2’s main selling points.

Dead Island 2 launches on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PS5 on April 21. Here’s everything you need to know about the long-in-development zombie game.
