Cyberpunk 2077

CD Projekt Red has begun rolling out Cyberpunk 2077 update 1.61, which packs numerous fixes as well as FSR 2.1 support.

As said, this new patch packs various fixes and improvements for quests, visuals, and gameplay. In addition, it includes platform-specific fixes, including a fix for an issue on the PC version which caused FPS drops when exiting menus. One of the most interesting changes, however, has been included at the bottom of the official release notes – support for AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.1 on PC and next-gen consoles. Whether this means that FSR 2.1 is also supported on PlayStation 5 remains to be seen.

AMD recently posted the official source code for its upscaling tech, with the code also being made available for Xbox developers. As far as we are aware, the most recent adaption of AMD’s upscaling tech is FSR 2.0 in Scorn. On PlayStation 5, it’s a different story with last year’s Arcadegeddon being the first title to use AMD’s tech on Sony's console. At this time, we’re not really sure if there are other PS5 titles using FSR, but we do know that Sony hasn’t officially announced that the tech is implemented into their software development kits (SDK).
