Mike Ybarra, Corporate VP of Microsoft, has talked on Twitter about the importance of a feature such as Cross Platform Play in the current video game scene.

"Our data shows people want larger multiplayer pools of people to play with and the choice to play together. This isn’t going away," was the statement given by Mike Ybarra on his official Twitter account.

In the occasion of E3 2017, cross-play features have been announced for Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch users for games like Rocket League and Minecraft. PlayStation 4 users were excluded from having this option.

Mike Ybarra has added that Microsoft will work with Sony to bring Cross Platform Play on Minecraft and ensure that user security is very important to Microsoft as much as it is for Sony.
