Apple TV 2025 to be cleaper than $100

There is a possibility that Apple will launch its new and upgraded Apple TV next year with a new chip and potentially new features as well. However, it remains to be seen if the company will launch a budget or a more affordable version of the set-top box for basic features. The high-end or more premium features will be available with the pricier variant, but there was news related to a cheaper version in the works as well.

Next year's Apple TV could be priced below the $100 mark to better compete against the competition

Soon after the company launched the Apple TV 4K in October 2022, prominent analyst Ming-Chi Kuo stated that the company could release a cheaper sub-$100 Apple TV, which will be cheaper than the current $129 price tag of the Apple TV 4K. However, with the upcoming upgrades, Apple could charge a slightly higher price tag as well, considering the internals would bring a major boost in terms of performance. We also believe the company would bump the base storage from 64GB to 128GB for the base model. The 128GB model is currently available for $149 in the United States.

Industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo states that the company could also lower the price of the Apple TV further, down to less than $100, so there is no solid information available if the company will be releasing two variants of the set-top box. Kuo believes that the "sweet spot" for the Apple TV would be a price of less than $100. The company could release a newer version of the Apple TV and lower the current model's price, as it has done with the previous model, which is available for just $69.

The lower-tier or less expensive models of the Apple TV would allow the company to better compete against the likes of the Google TV Streamer, which costs $99.99. Amazon and Roku are the cheapest options on the market, with a price tag of $24.99. As for what you should expect from the next Apple TV, it will feature a comparatively newer version of the A series of processors, and we believe that next year's version could bring the A18 chip to the table.

The new A18 or the A17 Pro chip could allow the Apple TV to become a powerful set-top box that is more capable than the competition. The device could also support high-end gaming titles, which would make it the perfect gaming machine for Apple users when paired with a controller. We will share more information about the device, so stick around for more details.
