CORSAIR Launches MP700 PRO XT and Compact 2242 Form Factor MP700 MICRO PCIe 5.0 SSDs with Blazing Fast Read/Write Speeds

One of the leading hardware and peripheral manufacturers, CORSAIR, has released its two new high-performance PCIe 5.0 SSDs for enthusiasts, offering the best-in-class performance for PC builders. The first SSD is the MP700 PRO XT, which is its flagship offering, delivering up to 14,900 MB/s of sequential Read speeds and up to 14,500 MB/s of sequential Write speeds.

If you remember, Team Group was the first to claim up to 14,900 MB/s of seq. read speeds, but the T-Force Z54E maxed out at only 14,000 MB/s in sequential write speeds. The Corsair MP700 PRO XT, however, sets a new benchmark in both cases, offering the best storage performance for mainstream devices. Corsair says that not only is the MP700 PRO XT extremely fast, but it's also power-efficient, thanks to its Phison E28 controller.

The SSD supports Microsoft DirectStorage, which helps in communicating with the GPU directly for a faster, enhanced gaming experience and enables quick game load. With Corsair SSD Toolbox free software, users will also be able to perform a variety of tasks on the SSD, such as cloning, firmware upload, and secure wipes.

The second one is the Corsair MP700 MICRO SSD, which also brings the latest PCIe 5.0 interface, but offers the M.2 2242 compact form factor, which makes it ideal for devices such as laptops and gaming handhelds. It offers a good 10,000 MB/s of sequential read and 8,000 MB/s of write speeds to ensure the OS, apps, and games can load faster. To achieve up to 4 TB of capacity priced, the MP700 MICRO SSD uses high-density 3D TLC NAND, but is also available in 2 TB capacity.

The MP700 PRO XT will available in multiple capacities, such as 1 TB ($159), 2 TB ($240), and 4 TB ($459), and will be accompanied by a 5-year warranty. Both SSDs are now available through Corsair's authorized distributors and retailers, and in early 2026, Corsair will introduce more capacity options for the MP700 PRO XT.
