Colorful has unveiled its upcoming AM5 motherboards for AMD Ryzen CPUs, such as the B850M ARK & the X870E Vulcan.
Colorful Preps The OC-Ready B850M CVN ARK & X870E Vulcan Motherboards For AMD Ryzen CPUs
Strong demand for AMD's AM5 Ryzen CPUs has prompted all major motherboard manufacturers to roll out new designs, mostly geared towards overclockers. These new designs adopt brand new features that were missing from the AMD AM5 motherboards for a while, such as Dual-DIMM designs & external BCLK generators. These features were only available on Intel platforms, but there's suddenly an increased level of interest in bringing them over to AMD motherboards.

Starting with the first motherboard from Colorful, we have the flagship X870E iGame Vulcan. This is the highest-end design from Colorful based around the AM5 socket. The motherboard was displayed at a recent event in Guangzhou, China, and features an ATX form factor with a dual-DIMM design.
The board features massive heatsinks over a powerful VRM power delivery, dual 8-pin connectors, and an OC panel which sits next to the DIMM slots. The motherboard has a large aluminum-finned heatsink over the top-most Gen5x4 M.2 slot, while the single PCIe 5.0x16 slot with an EZ release mechanism can also be spotted.
Besides that, the motherboard has several M.2 slots, a total of five on the board, with most of them hidden beneath a large plate that comes with an EZ lock mechanism. A second PCIe x16 slot is also hidden under a plate that blends in nicely with the neat look.

There are several tuning buttons at the bottom of the board, along with a range of fan/RGB/USB headers. The variant that was displayed features a black color theme, but Colorful has offered a white variant of its Vulcan series in the past, like the one we tested, so we can expect a white variant for the X870E Vulcan too.

Colorful also shwocased its brand new B850M CVN ARK motherboard which is an mATX design and has been overhauled with several new capabilities such as a more powerful VRM power delivery, over 8000 MT/s DDR5 memory support in 4-DIMM slots, latest IO such as WIFI7, 2.5GbE LAN, a EZ release PCIe slot and most important of all, an external clock generator which will allow real-time BCLK adjustments. The board also comes in a white color theme and looks great.

And lastly, there's the Colorful iGame X870 SENNA Edition motherboard, which is an anime-themed white motherboard with a strong set of features that one can expect from an ATX AM5 offering. Colorful states solid support for AMD's AM5 Ryzen CPUs, an updated BIOS, and support for future Ryzen CPUs too. The board does look very similar to the CVN X870 ARK Frozen that we have tested here.

As for availability and pricing, the Colorful B850M CVN ARK is expected to be priced at around 1300 RMB, which is under $200, making it the second option in this price category with a BCLK generator, while the X870E Vulcan is yet to be finalized, so it might take a while before we see it in action.
