Two new budget gaming laptops have been launched by Colorful, featuring the RTX 5050 and RTX 5060 GPUs.
Colorful Unveils EVOL P15 Gaming Laptops, Featuring Core i7 14650HX-RTX 5060 and Core i5 13420H-RTX 5050 Configurations
Hardware manufacturer Colorful has today introduced two new gaming laptops for the budget segment. These are equipped with affordable hardware to cater to the demands of gamers and professionals. These are the Colorful EVOL P15 gaming laptops, featuring two different configurations that bring the budget NVIDIA RTX 50 series GPUs as well as Intel's mid-range/high-end CPUs from the previous generations.
The Colorful EVOL P15 marks the first RTX 50 series debut by the company in its gaming laptops. At the moment, Colorful only has a couple of laptop models to offer and mostly offers RTX 3050 and RTX 4060 laptops for the budget segment. The EVOL P15 with the GeForce RTX 5060, therefore, is now the flagship and the most powerful gaming laptop from the company, which is paired with the Intel Core i7 14650HX high-performance Raptor Lake Refresh processor.
Through a powerful CPU-GPU combo, it can not only deliver excellent gaming performance but also deliver solid performance in CPU-intensive tasks, thanks to the 16-core/24-thread CPU configuration. The EVOL P15 with the GeForce RTX 5050 is equipped with the budget 8-core/12-thread Core i5 13420H processor from teh Raptor Lake family, bringing a balanced configuration for gaming and productivity.
Both laptops appear similar in a lot of areas, but the one with RTX 5060 delivers a better display, featuring a 15.6-inch IPS screen with 2560x1440p resolution, while the one with RTX 5050 offers 1920x1080p resolution on the same screen size. The RTX 5060 edition can also run at a higher 165Hz refresh rate, while the other model is capped at 144Hz. Battery life for both are same, featuring 53.35Wh of battery, but the flagship model offers a high-power adapter.
Each model offers 512 GB NVMe Gen 3.0 SSD and an additional M.2 slot, and for memory, users will get a 16 GB DDR5 5200 MT/s memory, and an additional 1x SO-DIMM slot for upgrade. Colorful hasn't announced the pricing yet, but these should cost under $1000, given that a lot of RTX 5050 and RTX 5060 are available for a sub-$1000 price tag.
