Wombo Games is a new studio founded by IO Interactive co-founder Janos Flösser, who founded the new studio in Copenhagen alongside several other former IO Interactive developers. Earlier this year, the team announced the new studio, and along with it, the team's debut project, a co-op roguelite, Raiders of Blackveil.

Today, the studio confirmed that its debut title will launch in early access on PC before the end of the year, on December 15, 2025.

"Early access is a huge milestone for us as it's where we'll really start shaping Raiders of Blackveil with our community of players," said Benjamin Flösser, executive producer at Wombo Games, in a press release. "It's been a wild ride since we started working on this game, and we're extremely grateful for all the support, wishlists, and feedback since the first demo came out - the game wouldn't be the same without it."

Wombo Games describes its debut project as a MOBA-inspired, PvE extraction co-op roguelite with RPG-style loot set in the dystopian fantasy world of Blackveil. When players jump into the early access version that'll launch in December, they'll be able to check out one of the game's first biomes, The Harvest Operation, with 11 new enemies and two new powerful bosses that were not previously seen in the game's first demo.

The game's perk system is also getting a major update, and new items, gameplay mechanics, and more will be included in the game's early access release. Following its early access release this coming December, the studio has Raiders of Blackveil's 1.0 release slated for sometime in 2026.
