Today, Japanese developer and publisher CAPCOM announced that a new episode of its CAPCOM Spotlight series of livestreams will air on Thursday, March 5, at 2 PM Pacific Time.
This CAPCOM Spotlight will last approximately half an hour, focusing on the following upcoming and existing games:
- Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection
- PRAGMATA
- Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection
- Mega Man Dual Override
- Street Fighter 6
Below, we've added a brief overview of each featured game, in release date order.
Street Fighter 6 is the only game that's already out. Launched in June 2023 to critical acclaim, it marked the studio's return to form for its flagship fighting franchise after the rocky reception to Street Fighter V. It introduced a new control scheme called Modern Controls to lower the barrier to entry for newcomers, a fully fleshed-out single-player World Tour mode, and a Battle Hub online space for players to gather and compete. The game has been regularly updated with new fighters and content, further cementing its status as one of the most successful entries in the series' history. In all likelihood, the CAPCOM Spotlight will feature a new DLC fighter announcement.
Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, the third entry in the spin-off RPG series set in the Monster Hunter universe, follows the two rival kingdoms of Azuria and Vermeil as they struggle to survive an environmental disaster known as the Crystal Encroachment. The players control the heir to Azuria, who teams up with Vermeil's princess, Eleanor, to combat the threat while navigating the fraught politics between the two nations. Like its predecessors, the game centres on becoming a Rider who bonds with and battles alongside monsters, using a turn-based combat system. It will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam on March 13, 2026. A demo is now available on all platforms if you're interested in getting a glimpse.
Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection is a compilation of all three entries in the Mega Man Star Force series, originally released for the Nintendo DS between 2006 and 2008, now emulated and enhanced for modern platforms. All seven versions of the three games are included, alongside new difficulty and assist options, an autosave function, adjustable encounter rates, and fully rearranged soundtracks alongside the originals. Online card trading and battles are also supported, and the collection is scheduled for release on March 27, 2026.
PRAGMATA, on the other hand, is CAPCOM's long-awaited new sci-fi IP. It's an action-adventure game set on a lunar research station, following spacefarer Hugh and android Diana as they work together to fight the hostile AI controlling the station and attempt to return to Earth. X The game blends third-person gunplay with a unique real-time hacking mechanic: Diana uses her hacking capabilities to disable enemy armour while Hugh takes them down with firearms. Originally announced back in 2020 and delayed multiple times, it finally received a concrete release date at The Game Awards 2025: April 24, 2026. This means it's less than two months away from its debut.
Mega Man: Dual Override is the twelfth mainline entry in the classic Mega Man series, following Mega Man 11 from 2018. Also announced at The Game Awards 2025, the game reportedly takes a classic approach to the Blue Bomber (run, shoot, slide, and battle colorful, dangerous robots) while featuring a refreshed visual style. Alongside the announcement, CAPCOM launched a Robot Master design contest, giving fans the chance to submit ideas for a boss character to appear in the game; this is a tradition that goes back to earlier entries in the series. The game is set for 2027, the same year the Mega Man series celebrates its 40th anniversary.
