The Game Awards 2025 was packed with a bunch of show-stopping announcements and reveals across games we knew about and brand new titles we'd never seen before. From the latter category, the most intriguing game at the show was Bradley the Badger, a new game from former Mario Rabbids and Red Dead Redemption developers at a new studio called Day 4 Night. Though the game didn't have a publisher at the time, it does now, as Focus Entertainment picks up Day 4 Night's debut game.

The news was announced with a short YouTube video from Focus Entertainment's official channel, with the description adding, "We are proud to announce our collaboration with Day 4 Night Studios to publish Bradley the Badger! Explore a genre-bending story and save your home in this unique action-adventure."

Though Bradley the Badger presents as a 3D platformer, 'genre-bending' is the more accurate description since you'll be moving through multiple universes and game styles as this adventure breaks the fourth wall, so to speak, or at least the game development equivalent of it.

You'll be platforming as you manipulate areas of the game made to look like unfinished assets in a video game, with the power to 'debug' something that isn't working as intended or manipulate a piece of the environment to get to your objective.

Everything about it looks like a game ready to subvert players' expectations at every turn, which isn't too surprising as it's the next major game from Davide Soliani, the creative director behind Mario Rabbids, who left Ubisoft to establish Day 4 Night Studios back in 2024.
