Borderlands 4 To Release On September 23rd on PC and Consoles; New Gameplay Trailer Released

Borderlands 4 will launch this September on PC and consoles, Gearbox Software confirmed today with a new trailer.

The new trailer, shown during today's State of Play presentation, confirmed that the game will launch on September 23rd on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The trailer also provides a quick look at some of the game's movement abilities, action skills, and the countless loot players will be able to collect.

Break free from the oppressive Timekeeper, a ruthless dictator who dominates the masses from on high. Now, a world-altering catastrophe threatens his perfect Order, unleashing mayhem across the planet. Ignite a resistance and blast your way through mechanical monstrosities, bloodthirsty bandits, and vicious beasts, with new traversal mechanics like: double jumping, gliding, dodging, fixed-point grappling, and more.

Fight solo or in co-op with up to three other players in this immense sci-fi adventure, packed with free-form combat and exploration, pulse-pounding boss fights, infinitely varied loot drops, and an eclectic cast of unforgettable characters new and old.

Thankfully, Borderlands 4 won't have to wait much longer to get another look at the highly anticipated next entry in the series. A full gameplay reveal will be coming later this Spring, together with additional information on the game, during a new State of Play presentation focused on the game this Spring.

Borderlands 4 will launch on September 23rd for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S.
