A new Black Myth Wukong patch has gone live today on PC and PlayStation 5, introducing some bug fixes, a new experimental feature on PC, and performance improvements on PlayStation 5.

The 1.0.14.17737 patch, which is around 1.9 GB big on PC but requires 4.5 GB of free storage space for temporary storage of the update files, focuses on introducing bug fixes on all platforms, fixing some issues with bosses, levels, and protagonists. On PC, the new patch also introduces a new, experimental Super Resolution Sampling method called NXSR, which can be enabled in the Graphics setting.

As mentioned above, the new Black Myth Wukong patch on PlayStation 5 also introduces some performance improvements. The new version of the game features optimized graphics in Quality Mode while fixing an issue where distortion effects became blurry due to Super Resolution. More information on the fixes and improvements introduced by the patch can be found here.

Black Myth Wukong is now available on PC and PlayStation 5 worldwide. You can learn more about the action game developed by Game Science in my review.

Black Myth: Wukong stands out as one of the strongest debut games released in recent times. While not groundbreaking in any way, it masterfully blends elements from several popular franchises to deliver an engaging action RPG experience that ranks just below the very best in the genre. Although stuttering issues and minor gameplay flaws hold it back slightly, these shouldn't deter any action RPG or action game fan from picking it up. The Journey to the West has rarely been this enjoyable.
