Biostar is the first motherboard vendor to confirm that next-gen AMD motherboards will be displayed at Computex, possibly made for Ryzen "Zen 6" CPUs.

First AMD Ryzen "Zen 6" Motherboards Could Be Shown off at Computex, Or They Could Be A Further Refresh of Existing Designs

[Update - 5/7/2026] - Biostar reached out to us and said that there aren't any next-gen motherboards. The ones in the press release are refreshed 800-series designs.

BIOSTAR is only releasing their new 800 series motherboards, not any new gen of AMD ones.

Out of all the AMD motherboard vendors, it is Biostar that has decided to use the term "next-gen" for its upcoming products during Computex 2026. The company doesn't tell what it means by "Next-Gen" AMD Motherboards, but we can make a few guesses.

First of all, we all know that AMD is working on its Zen 6-based Ryzen family codenamed Olympic Ridge, which is expected to feature up to 24 cores. The next-gen Ryzen family will feature some nice upgrades in terms of performance and efficiency, but platform updates are going to be significant as well, with board makers already rolling out support for EXPO 1.2, which adds early CUDIMM and Ultra-Low Latency DDR5 memory support.

So we might see a teaser or early designs of AMD's next-gen AM5 platforms at Computex from board makers such as Biostar. The other possibility is that Biostar is simply terming its refreshed 800-series as "Next-Gen" motherboards. Both possibilities are very likely, and we are excited for either one. The following is the press release from Biostar:
