Ah, it's good to be back once again with community-driven events at Wccftech and its loyal "insiders", after almost a nine-year break, but this time, the event is going to be a lot more fun in a kek kind of way.

Of course, Wccftech is all about its 'comment section' and a 'tiny bit' of informative coverage too (pun intended), but our community gives us the drive to create simply amazing content.

The idea of Bench-a-Thon was originally brought in action by our long-time follower and reader, Geno aka Genogerian Progerian, and the aim was to give our readers a place to interact with each other, but in the context of the performance of their respective builds, and after a wait of several years, I am glad to say that we are back again. We have had some amazing events in the past, and this time, with all the hardware advancements in the nine-year period, we expect some serious benchmarking from Wccftechians.

Many of our viewers have been with us on the journey since our inception, and have most likely participated in Bench-a-Thon in the past as well, but for those who are new, the event is a place where we all get together and see how well-involved our community is in the PCMR. We usually select a benchmarking platform that is easy to access and doesn't involve complications for a general user, and this time, it's 3DMark Solar Bay Extreme, which is the latest release by UL Benchmarks.

Over the past nine years, hardware has changed significantly; in particular, GPUs have shifted their attention from graphical computation to several other areas, such as AI, AI, AI & more AI (MFG 4x enabled). 3DMark Solar Bay Extreme runs on native APIs, such as DirectX 12 on Windows, and is targeted specifically at ray-tracing workloads, giving a clear idea of how your system would run in modern-day gaming titles.

To ensure that all participants stay on the exact configuration when running the benchmark on their local systems, there is a set of rules you need to follow to battle against others. And, here they are:

[Testing, Testing, ..., It's Hassan taking over] Just wanted to drop a quick submission, this is with an OC'd RTX 5090.

The OC settings used for the GPU, CPU and the rest were at default:

[Over n Out]

The idea here is to let you guys compete with each other. This is a one-time opportunity to flaunt your systems since the usual comment section often gets carried away into other "interesting" discussions. Enjoy the Bench-a-Thon!
