Wccftech Community Bench-a-Thon Results Are Finally Here, And They Are Pretty Amazing!

I know, I know, there's no justification to post the results after almost a month of the initial submissions, but we wanted to give the community ample time to participate and revise their results to get the best submission out there, and by the looks of it, our community did justice to our expectations.

The Wccftech Community - A Few Words of Appreciation

The community on this platform is one that I have personally seen nowhere else, as we have a diverse range of enthusiasts, from PCMR hardcore fans to every possible PC user one could expect. When gathering the submissions from the comment section, I managed to witness benchmarks that included GPUs from all over the industry, and surprisingly, the Arc B580 managed to make the list as well. Individuals out there submitted several submissions to improve their scores, which is one of the reasons why the results post took a bit of time, but we are in the endgame now.

Results of the Wccftech Bench-a-Thon 2025: 3DMark Solar Bay Extreme

Before you dive into the results, there are a few pointers to keep in mind before looking at the spreadsheet that I'll share below. First, the entries were entirely based on individuals who posted the 3DMark submission links, since we needed them for verifying the scores. Another important point is that if a user submits a score higher than the previous one on the same rig, the updated score is reflected in the sheet, ensuring that everyone squeezes the maximum out of their rig.

Multi-GPU submissions from the same user are also included in the spreadsheet, but there were a few of them, so we didn't create a dedicated section. Everyone who participated in the competition deserves a round of applause from the Wccftech team, since their dedication to PCMR and our platform is unmatched, regardless of what scores they managed to obtain. Well, enough of the buttering, here's the spreadsheet link.

WCCFtech MVP Podium: RTX 5090 Wins the Race (As Expected)

Well, the results were pretty interesting to say the least, as we saw entries from several types of GPUs, but of course, NVIDIA's flagship SKU won the race. But, here's the twist, the top two entries with the highest scores at 3DMark Solar Bay Extreme were from the same user, but since we had chosen the best one, the individual managed to gain the first spot in the list.

Well, the wait is over, and here are the users who earned the top three spots, based on their Disqus usernames.

  2. Kindred ICE
  3. 6IX$H003TR

The Blackwell and Ada Lovelace flagship GPU models managed to dominate the benchmarks, which is obvious, but it was probably a bit disappointing not to see AMD ranking anywhere, mainly since with RDNA 4, they decided not to focus on the high-end market. Anyway, congratulations to those who made it in the top rankings, and for those who didn't, well, there's always a next time.

Bench-a-Thon: The Future of Community-Driven Events

Now that we have concluded this year's Bench-a-Thon, I would love those in the community to give us suggestions around this event, or whether they would like to see any modifications. Whether it is changing the evaluation criteria of Bench-a-Thon, or even spinning out an entirely new event. I'll make sure to respond to every comment below, and who knows, we might see a lot more exciting competition moving ahead.
